• Kerbside access tightens. Expect stricter enforcement and relocated pickup zones on event days.
• Hotel corridors clog. Center City to the sports complex can take twice its usual time on a match day.
• Rideshare supply and price swing hard. Surge multiples during a stadium exit are not a rumour.

How to protect a business trip during it

Move your buffer, not your flight. Adding twenty minutes to a pickup costs nothing. Rebooking a missed flight in a sold-out week costs a day.

Fly the shoulder times. Early departures and late arrivals stay comparatively sane even in a peak week, and a dispatcher is on duty while your trip runs.

Use a booked car with a known pickup point. On event days the value is not luxury, it is certainty about where the car will be and that it is already assigned to you.
